Dell Inspiron 8000 won't power up from any power source, battery, A/C adapter, or docking station. There is no POST or evidence of a boot startup. When plugged into the docking station or the A/C adapter the battery light glows solid orange And nothing happens when the on/off switch is pressed. When operating on the battery the battery light glows solid orange while the switch is held depressed. The I have completely disassembled the entire computer and re-plugged/re-seated all connections, cables, and compunents to no avail. My guess is that it is a power supply proble. Dell suggests a new motherboard at $699. Any suggestions?
