LISTEN UP EVERYONE. I'VE SEEN THIS PROBLEM POSTED ALL OVER THE PLACE AND I FEEL COMPELLED TO SAY SOMETHING. I REPAIR VARIOUS ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND OCCASSIONALLY LAPTOPS. TO PUT IT SIMPLY A LARGE AMOUNT OF THESE ARE CAUSE BY A LACK OF A SIGNAL/SIGNALS TO THE DISPLAY ITSELF. MOST OF THEM I HAVE REPAIRED ARE CAUSED BY A FAULTY CONNECTION ON THE END OF THE DISPLAY CABLE. USUALLY I CAN REPAIR THIS PROBLEM WITH NO NEW PARTS, JUST THE TIME INVOLVED. THE PINS ON ONE SIDE OF THE CONNECTOR ARE USUALLY RECESSED TOO FAR INTO THE PLASTIC TO MAKE SOLID CONTACT THUS YOUR LACK OF SIGNAL. ONE WAY TO SEE IF THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM IS TO CLOSE AND OPEN YOUR DISPLAY AND IF WHEN YOU OPEN THE DISPLAY IT COMES ON MOMENTARILY THEN THERE YOU GO. I DON'T SUGGEST ANYONE WITH NO EXPERIENCE DO THIS THOUGH.
