Subject: It's February Already?

mikey seen his shadow the other day..... expect 6 more weeks of winter. I guess everyone is hibernating? I ran the tiller through my garden spot last weekend. I'm going to plant something here soon, whether it makes it or not. Cabbage, broccoli, and onions will be first. I have had cabbage and broccoli plants get covered in ice when planted in early March and keep growing. We are getting more rain here today, though it's a cold 34 degrees, it sounds good! Our ground water is begining to show signs of recovering, however, the lakes used for water storage for the towns and cities are not recovering as quick. Perhaps we will have a "gentle" tropical storm come through and drop 6 to eight inches of rain this summer and fill all the lakes and rivers back to capacity. We are 10 inches below normal rainfall in this area....
