Tell Ed he isn't the only one that hasn't got his tomato plants set out. We had a light frost Sunday morning, so, I'll wait another week or two before setting mine out. My cabbage plants have taken hold and are beginning to grow. My pear trees are in full bloom now and I'm hoping a frost won't get them like it did last year. My neighborhood pair of Red Shoulder hawks have started working on their nest. Right in my backyard, right above the chicken pens! I watched them yesterday working on it. They had started on the nest last year, but for some reason abandoned it, and nested elsewhere. I did not see one snake last year, except the one in the talons of one of the hawks as it flew across the field in front of me. They really are some hunters! I just have to keep my chickens penned, they are partial to chicken......
