I agree with the suggestion of medicated feed, however a damp cool brooder due to the lack of a heat lamp on a very young bird can prevent organ function, causing nutrients from feed not to be absorbed. This could be why the vet commented about no meat on the bird.

It would help to know what protein % was in the feed, and/or if the gosling was on starter feed.
