Dear Andy,

In a world that loves "right" and "wrong" answers, I can give you neither. In fact, I think you are asking the wrong (no pun intended) question.

The question I would ask is why did I pick this life and the terrible situation you're in or experiencing? After all, my understanding of heaven and our decision to come here is that we pick what we feel is the perfect situation for our growth. Therefore, I suspect your situation is just what you (i.e., the doctor) ordered before you came here.

But why? I don't know, but one thing I've picked up on is that those who have near-death experiences (NDE) due to suicide never then consider suicide attractive. It is not because suicide is bad, per say, but simply because they realize the gift this life is for them.

Therefore, suggestion number one for you would be to read all you can about NDE. Pay particular attention to those who committed suicide and came back. They should provide you with a good understanding of why you might not want to select such an action.

Second, I would ask you what age you are. I teach about transitions (which may be what you are going through). For a young person, when things go terrible they do not see any hope. For a much older person, the same things can happend, and they also see no hope, but they have lived through other tough times and know these tough times will pass, too. Older people simply are less likely to think the rest of their days are like their current experience.

Why don't you respond to what I've written above, which will then let me know which direction I should go to provide you further information.

Blessings,

Gary
