Subject: Great Review and new drummer in the same week,oh yeah...

For those who didn't see the article in the Hull Daily Mail on friday, this is what you missed

In 1998 in Angel Recording Studio in Hull, Dave Fox decided to write
a blues album and record it with the help of some friends. Needing a
'blues name', Dave came up with Blind Frog Ernie(Ernie being an old
school nickname) and the project was called the Urban Blues
Experience. 11 tracks were recorded with this line up and all are
available from www.peoplesound.com/artist/blindfrogernie

After being joined on guitar and vocals by Chrissy Ward, Mark Allsopp
on Bass and Andy Hemmings (Max Creepy/Time) on drums, Dave Fox
fronted the bands 1st gig at the Hogs Breath in Hull.

Mk II, the bands 1st demo was recorded in Feb 2002 and to date has
sold over 350 copies. The next year and a half was spent playing
locally on a weekly basis as well as playing several out of town venues
including 3 Saturday nights at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, appearing
twice on Radio Humberside's Raw Talent and recording their debut
album NAKED:from the forehead up.

In December 2002 a decision was made to expand the line up and
front man duties were handed over to Neil Bailey (35 Stock) but shortly
after, Andy left the band. As a side project the band began recording
tracks for a studio album written by Dave called Inner Sanctum to keep
busy whilst another drummer was found. Inner Sanctum is a musical
story of one mans decline into madness after being spiked in a
nightclub. Dead Man Talking features John Dawson (Supermotion) on
drums and is available as a single. Don't Know my Name was recorded
shortly after and also features John Dawson and Steve Choudhury on
piano. Blind Frog Ernie are still currently looking for a drummer. A new
cd is in the pipeline as well as the completion of Inner Sanctum.

"If you like that kind of music that weighs itself down with a solid,
heavy groove then Blind Frog Ernie should be right up your street."

We have just been joined on drums by James Winn and are pretty confident that the band will be gigging again soon so watch our gigs page.No doubt we will post a mug-shot on our photos page very soon.
Cheers to Darren Bunting for going to the trouble of listening to our stuff and writing a great piece and cheers Jim for sorting it.
Later,
d
