All of which completely misses the point !!!

I would not disagree with anything within the above and below points, in fact the bulk of it is irrelevant to the posting to which it purports to respond. Having been involved in the Women's game for many years, and lived in the region all my life, I applaud Your Uni's track record in all sport at all levels, that's a no brainer ! However to emphasis a point made below, you have a responsibility to the local area and clubs within it. By entering a team within the pyramid you are hampering the development of the game locally by, as I've said before, damaging the prospects of success (and therefore increased coverage for and expansion of the game locally) for the likes of Loughboro', Nottingham Forest and Leicester City.

It is a nonsense to accuse me of taking a blinkered view and of seeking to prevent your students from playing. Nothing could be further from the truth !

THERE IS AMPLE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR GIRLS TO PLAY WITHIN THE BUSA SET UP AND THE FA WOMEN'S CUP!!!!!!!

I'll say it again, because it is the critical point that's being missed here.........

THERE IS AMPLE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR GIRLS TO PLAY WITHIN THE BUSA SET UP AND THE FA WOMEN'S CUP!!!!!!!

Yes you are a bona fide club, a bona fide University club which is, again as I've said before, a totally different animal to that of local clubs. As a Uni you've done very well in the BUSA competitions. I tell you what, why not let Loughboro, Nottingham Forest and Leicester City enter the BUSA knockout tournaments ?? Get my point yet ??

Why not encourage your players to get out into the community and join local clubs for weekend football, passing on their knowledge and thereby helping clubs in this region expand and thrive ?? That would really give them 'a sense of empowerment and reponsibility'
