The rapidly changing emotions almost made her trip, even though she was just standing there. Hope, disappointment, and that painful longing again, and then suddenly nothing. It felt like when she was alone in this valley once again, utterly cut off from everyone else's emotions. Loneliness permeated through her, and this time it was her own, the power of this emotion causing her to bow her head for a brief moment. For all her life, she had felt the emotions of those around her, and when she came here, at the beginning, she became slightly depressed with suddenly not feeling a single person around. For a few brief moments, she felt someone else, just to have it get cut off. Apparently this other person was well trained in the mental arts. The shape shifter quickly raised her head and gave a wry smile.

"My name's Alexia. Are you searching for the people who once lived here?"

It was true that she had once found some very strange things around, and they were probably left overs from the people who had once resided in this area. After all, an amulet, a staff, pieces of cloth, and what looked like a falconer's glove couldn't really just be what stray animals had brought in. There was also a sword in the mix of random things in the hut she found.
