Obsidian Pass

Stony cliffs give way to a hidden forest. The trees are luscious but overgrown: an undisturbed paradise thriving without humanity to scar it. Even here, you can hear the thrum of the waterfall as its liquid tumbles over rocks down into the lake below. The water feeds into a large lake, its violent waters calming out as they spread over the area. Caves dot the sides of the cliffs on that side of the forest. Squinting, you can see the faint remnants of a road, winding its way from the valley's only entrance into the thickets. Shifting your weight, you wonder if you should follow that path and see what awaits.
