To answer your assertion, no I'm not a Barbara Boxer staff-member. I'm a caucasian southern-born American with the same rights as you narrow-minded neo-cons.

Some of these ludicrous statements needd answering....

1."A Free Iraq will soon lead to a Free Iran and hopefully a domino affect and lead to a free world! A Strong, Free Iraq can only make America Safer!"

How did the "oppressed" Iraq threaten America?

2.No one can be certain, but it is worth the try! Is 1500 lives worth Millions saved, little girls not being tortured and raped, women being beaten and beheaded on public streets for not obeying Sadam, men being mutilated and imprisoned?"

Where was this sentiment from our leadership in 1983 when these atrocities were going on then while President Reagan was quietly being an ally to Saddam to help Iraq try and defeat Iran? How about when the vice president, George H. Bush visited the Middle East then and was shaking hands w/Saddam? Or Don Rumsfeld, as a corporate CEO doing business with Saddam then?

Heck, for that matter, by THIS theory, we should be invading SAUDI ARABIA, too, right?? They mutilate insubordinant women, they behead people left and right...

3. "Of course, You liberals do not want this to work. You can't stand Bush being right and you will do what ever you can, as was evidenced in the Democratic slam of Dr. Rice for the last few weeks, to make America look bad to the world."

I'll give Bush props when he does right. He had my full-fledged support, standing on the rubble of the Twin Towers, talking to the workers through a megaphone. He promised to get the guys that perpetrated the horrific acts on 9/11/01. We're still waiting for that statement to come true. But we've distracted our efforts from that to get get the man that wanted his daddy dead.

What Bush will never be able to correct is the "happy trigger" he had for Iraq. When Richard Clarke tells us on national television that the DAY after 9/11, he's looking for ties to Iraq... when "weapons of mass destruction" were never found... when this "threat to America's security" never came to fruition... are Americans like me supposed to turn a blind eye and let a war-dodger run roughshod over the military for his own personal vendetta?

4. "I say again, Go to Iraq and help make a difference if you don't like the way things are being handled! I bet you are not willing to give up your bed, or even a coke, for the sake of others. You just want to be an "arm chair president" and pass on your negative views!"

I won't even begin to list the work I do of my own free time for the less fortunate. I can assure you, my resume' is filled with such. And if you're all for Bush's actions, why don't YOU sign up. Worrying about an egomaniac with corporate ties and personal greivances to air on a battlefield are PRECISELY why I would never put my life in the hands of such a "leader." It's also why thousands of eligible Americans are avoiding the service and/or Guard now. Enlistment is down in the armed services and national guard. Wonder why?
