Careful "thomas," you're slinging accusations behind your anonymity.

Why doe people automatically scream bloody murder when a local, state or federal govt. entity has to keep their tax rates (barely) up to the current inflationary rate?

We don't mind when gas prices go up, apparenlty... I never hear people bat an eyelash when LSU football ticket prices go up... when a star athlete "needs" his contract extended or re-worked on the backs of the fans' wallets (and in the Saints case, appaerntly, the state taxpayers, too...)

... but let a city DARE try and get their police and firemen a cost-of-living increase just by keeping their tax rate up to inflationary measures and, WHOAH NELLY, the OUTRAGE.
