I can't HELP but notice that we get posts from people accusing city officials of giving themselves raises (without citing sources so we can all see the history of such...) and I keep noticing this (not to well-hidden) agenda to smear Rich Dupree, but ya know what... Rich and Mayor Fields are on the air at KSYL-AM more often than most elected officials and I NEVER NEVER NEVER hear anybody ballsy enough to call 'em out like that on the air.

So do it or stop the veiled attack stabs here.

The city of Pineville's grown exponentially in recent history... costs go up for growing cities...

and GOD FORBID a city in this area do some beautification. People... drive around the country a little... this area has some of the most DRAB cities and communities of any I've ever seen. MacArthur as a "grand boulevard?" What a joke. There seems to be NO zoning laws to keep (yet another) aluminum-sided shanty-shack of a business from popping up on Alexandria's "grand boulevard." Weeds and overgrown grass are what "decorate" the median instead of landscaping and trees to "invite" out-of-town traffic to our businesses (where they'd contribute to our economy by shopping here).

Geez, once AGAIN, Natchitoches leads the way, here. That's about the ONLY town around here I see even BOTHERING to make their town look inviting. We spend a federal grant on the "rape trail" downtown in Alexandria, along with landscaped "underbellies" for I-49 that nobody can see, and yet we leave MacArthur this long, ugly mess. Oh, look, another aluminum-sided shopping center goes up....
