Subject: IL Mom, question about an upcoming system. Author: Anonymous [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 02/26/07 7:00pm My dd and I are new to pageants and have only done a few in the last year. What I want to know is this: There is a new pageant system in IL called FART. I know her first pageant is coming up soon and we were actually considering entering until this past weekend. This director was at another pageant and was rooming with a mom. I was talking to the mom she roomed with and know she is entering that new pageant of her room mate. What I'm wanting to know is if this is common practice? I'm a little uneasy giving money to a director that rooms at other pageants with her contestants. I was going to post this on another board, but there has been a lot of controversy there over the last couple weeks of moms and directors fixing pageants and if this is going to be another one of them I want nothing to do with it. I dont know who watches that board and really only want to know if this is common and can I count on this system to be fair? A lot of you IL moms know this director and I do not. Is she trustworthy? Would she allow judges to pick her room mates child because they share expenses at pageants? Please do not be nasty. A simple yes or no is all the response I need. It's also unfair to anyone that knows her and wants to try her system...even if their child deserves the win, someone will whine about it and say the only reason they won was because they knew Patty, regardless if they knew the judges or not. I don't know you, but I know the directors of IFS and they get bashed all the time since they live in small towns and know people, they don't judge their pageants either and I am sure you kow they bashed a lot for this. I don't feel I did anything wrong by rooming with someone but can see their point also. No matter what system is being talked about someone always thinks there is COI. It's everyone's opinion.
