In reply to: Doom 's message, "Well, i dont think there's much i can salvage off a....." on 13:34:25 11/07/02 Thu

Does it have a sound card or is that built into the Motherboard?

2GB HD... well yes you will want to get another but you CAN salvage that to keep in the PC. Use it to run your OS and then the new HD to host everything else.

The ram you will probably not salvage since you will more than likely want to go with DDR.

But in terms of salvage, what about the case? keyboard? mouse? floppy drive(s)? CDROM? CDRW? DVD? LAN? Monitor? What type of PC is your old computer? I'll help you any way I can... you would be surprised what you can actually salvage from the old PC... if you bought like an HP, Compaq, or something like that it severly limits what we can salvage though. Give me a getter idea of what you are looking to replace.. in fact, if it is easier for you, shoot me an email with your number, I'll give you a ring and we can talk about it. You'd be suprised with what you can buy if your goals are realistic!
