Sleet stared openmouthed after her departing daughter. I do love you, Diety. I always have, always will.... she whispers after Diety brokenly. When minutes had passed since Diety was out of sight, Sleet's neck muscles gave out just as her legs screamed to, allowing her head to lol forward. She stared at the ground with blue eyes unseeing while pictures of the past ran through her head. She scenced Lk approaching her meekly from behind, so Sleet gathered herself together to face Sombra and the pups. Even though Sleet tried to calm herself in order to comfort and possibly explain, unshed tears made her blue eyes even brighter than ever they had been before. Femme pads quietly and slowly over to LK and the other pups, and she lays down amoungst them. She reaches her muzzle over each and pulls them close to her. I'm sorry, little ones, that you had to see and hear that. I hate to say anything bad about Diety, but really, if she had something like that to say, she should have known better than to have said those things infront of you guys. Sleet shakes her head slowly, returns her attention to assuring the pups. Sleet nuzzles and licks each until they are soothed. It is after her children are settled down that Sleet turns to Sombra, her eyes pleading him to understand. Sombra. I'm sorry that you came here in time to witness that. Perhaps it was what I said to her... she looks down slightly, near his chest level, wondering. Sleet then returns her gaze to Sombra's eyes. Was I too hard on her? She asks, finally letting her fears out. What really gets me is what she said about me never having been a mother to them. I was forced away from these lands for monthes, but I had no choice about that. And she seems to believe that I left her out there on her own and came back to these cubs. Like I supposedly loved them more or something. But that's not possible. She ends her speach in a whisper. Her talk trails off as her head turns continually till it's poised over the cubs, where at that point she lays it down amoung them, baby blues open and staring ahead worriedly.
