The beast of a star called the sun!
So many poems to its dark oppressive glare!
Poets unite!
Write about the hidden horrors of this supposed agent of life and love!
Behind it's seemingly eternal smile,
a malevolent world of dehydration, heatstroke, sunburn and blindness!
Pity the poor humans who innocently
watched solar eclipses only to be robbed
of their precious sight once nature's cruel
deception only revealed darkness for them!
Ssssun! Do you hear me!
You do not fool this poet for one second!
One day the worm will turn
and I will find a way....a most horrible way...of getting back at you!
Then I will sweetly avenge all the wrongs
you have joyfully festered in!
Mark my words unholy star! Mark my words!
