 no clue if i have ever posted this one somewhere or not but it is something i have on hand at this moment (by the way.. hi everyone.. see i am still alive):)

I once saw dragons fly
dancing high in eternal blue sky
wing to wing, nose to tail
dancing to music only they could hear
twirling with the swirling winds
shining with the sun, shining like the sun
as they held my soul and filled me with awe

I once saw dragons fly
playing within cotton woven clouds
young and old, one and all
playing game and fighting mock
diving at the ground, touching, and up again
reaching for the stars on outstretched wings aglow
stealing my heart and awakening a want to join them

I once saw dragons fly
within dreams of times past
their power, their splendor, their beauty
shown in full glory, so real to touch.
awakening at day and looking to the sky
all I see is eternal blue and clouds
nothing more…..
