The repetition of 'raindrops falling' adds to the helplnessness and passivity of the speaker here, whilst also giving an image to which many can relate. I enjoyed this poem Tral, and read it several times, each time seeing a different layer.

Raphaela

>Raindrops falling
>I can't count every one
>I catch as many as I can
>Before the storm moves on
>Raindrops falling
>I turn the wipers off
>Watch the patterns on the windshield
>Sitting in this parking lot
>
>The mist and drizzle's worst of all
>It only makes it wet and cold
>So I roll my windows up
>Raindrops falling
>
>Raindrops falling
>Some old lady's walking by
>She looks fairly comfortable
>The plastic bags keep her dry
>Raindrops falling
>I'm out of cigarettes
>Sometimes I wish I could quit
>So much for these self help books
>
>The mist and drizzle's worst of all
>It only makes it wet and cold
>So I roll my windows up
>Raindrops falling
