I can hear your shades
sliding down shutting out
the gentle light that graces
your skin as bared
as your emotion thundering
like those clouds rolling over
the horizon and I
can't see sunny days
in store for the likes
of you and I.

I can hear your shades
sliding down locking in
that darkness which rots
motivation on the spot with
a weight like seven
lovely sins all but broken
to pieces tonight I
see the moon through your
eyes and I know
these tears are shed for
a reason
