Yoked and tethered to this chest of wonders
I writhe within the confines of this shell
Voraciously I chew at my fingers
The utter destruction of psyche's core
Typhoons carry me to your infinite shores
Where you kneel in swampy morass weeping
Your ruptured spirit spilling out over the water-
Quizzical, you open this seeping box
To behold the puzzle of my being
A piece or two missing, unclaimed, unowned!

Ah, how you lifted, nurtured me on milky bitter rue
Mystified my eyes with miraculous empathies
The lyrical wind moving through your hands
And in your cup of knowledge I swim
While visions jutting glass daggers
Pierce my isolation's tempests
Calming high raging storms
But the gusts have scattered me like ashes
Over futile fields gone fallow.
I am planted deep in your soil, I exult thee!

By dwindling daylight's last resurrection
I cut through umbilical hangman's noose
Shrieking to the aethers, "I still belong to you!"
In awe, the desert dunes bow
