Hecate cicadas sing
To the crossroaded sky
Across empty fields humming
Throbbing beneath godhood fingers
Plucking out bent winds
And cellofane wrappers
Raped and twisted
Around gargantuan hanging trees
Buried deep in river muck conscience
Sucking soul drip slips
And sleight of hand eyetricks
Flicking flicker cigarette flame
Smoke air kissed with fluidity
Humid licks of human refrain
The dogs pass with a song between their teeth.
