Subject: Sea Skiff Flooring

1963 24' Sportsman- I am looking for flooring options, presently it is plywood painted gray. Was the original covered with some typy of vinyl or nylon??? What color? What other options do I have if I decided not to go back original and do something really nice. Thanks

Barry, I had natolex ?(spelling) a type of marine vinyl in my 65 24 sea skiff, sort of pebbley type texture, worked great, did not show dirt and cleaned up very easily, you might try west marine or a boat upholstery shop for info.

I used Nautolex as well. Many colors to choose from. West Marine / Boat U.S. have it.

Not original, but I like the product called Deco Dot marine vinyl flooring. Two colors are available from Cabelas (www.cabelas.com), but many more are available from Gary's Upholstery (www.garysupholstery.com). It is made for the purpose and has raised non-skid dots. 72" wide, $18.99/yard.
Good luck.
