Subject: Water Pump- 1964 24' Sea Skiff 283

The original Jabsco pump #12050-0001 seized while running. Since this pump is no longer available I purchased a Magnaflow, but am having a problem mounting it because of the difference in the inlet and outlet configurations from the Jabsco. Looking for advice on mounting the Magnaflow or having the Jabsco rebuilt. I have noticed that the key way on the drive mechanism turns freely. Is it possible that something inside could have sheared when the pump seized? Or is there some type of clutch in the mechanism that allows the key way to turn when the engine is not running?
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Barry
