I had a 1956 18 ft sea skiff so I know what your boat is like.The best modern engine that you could put in that boat would be a 185hpV8 Chris Craft Model 283 engine. It would weigh the same as your present engine and has a good chance of fitting under your current engine box. For further details contact me or e-mail or call at 716 662 1949.
