I'd like to make a plea to the Warwick organisers (if they're reading this) not to put the exstudents 2 events both together at the end of the day as they usually do. The point of having an ex-student comp is that ex-students are there anyway to support their team, not that they just turn up for their event and then go again. So there's no real justification for both events being together. In the past there has been barely time to change shoes between ballroom and latin, let alone clothes (last year I ended up in between the two events standing on the edge of the floor in my underwear due to a misunderstanding with a beginner who had borrowed my skirt and didn't realise I needed it back! while my partner was on the floor with his arm in the air, which I'm sure was entertaining for everyone else but not very practical!)
Also, having the ex-student event last before the team match means everyone else buggers off to go and get changed.....It's nice for the ex-students to have some support from the rest of their team.
Am I alone in this? Last year I asked the organisers about this and they said it was too late to change it when I asked.
