The easiest people to get on the circuit are beginners. Everyone starts at a very basic level and at the first competition, dancing on time almost gurantees the 2nd round. Most beginners will have danced only 4 or 5 weeks, maybe once or twice a week by then...

Does anyone have a video of the Warwick beginners comp? Or have you seen one? The level is really not that high at teh beginning of the year, so maybe the first comp is best...

As Justine said, with so big a society you can probably put on a class specially for competitive dancing, one that's a bit more about posture, "technique", expression, advanced steps etc. either with the same or a different teacher...
