That's a fair point.

Personally, I feel that it would have little effect on NUDA/SUDA, and reduce the number of entries at IVDA. Frequently, several universities don't decide to enter an Offbeat routine until they have seen the competition at SUDA/NUDA.

I would say that offbeat teams made up of non-ballroom dancers tend to be better than offbeat teams made up of ballroom dancers.

I hate to disagree, but there were three dancesport team members and three non-dancesport team members dancing in the Freestyle final. The dancesporters came 1st, 4th and 5th; the non-dancesporters came 2nd, 3rd and 6th. Hardly a conclusive result.
