Just checking if I'm not mistaken this new rule would mean my beginners couple who made a mixed team final this year once would have to dance in advanced at IVDA???
Really sorry but that seems ridiculous. Ifeel if people dance out of standard then it should be dealt with individually. Some uni's do not have the time or resources to have improved a great ammount over the year. I reached a Novice final this year at IVDA and unless I get some amazing person to dance with next year I will have to partner someone who danced beginner twice this year - surely it is not fair on this person to make them dance Intermediate ???
I think that guidelines should be set - but they should be considered individually for couples that ahve been mentioned to the standing committee if no one has said anything then theres obviously not a great problem.
