Anyway, Ali's proposal was passed, but not yet into the constitution... However there will be a specially selected geek brigade to review/check the system and design a computer program (I have the first member) and another bitch brigade (I nominate myself) to review the standing committee. The system will be reviewed at sheff/warwick and egm called if it all goes to pot.... Offbeat: cut to 1 min 45 secs with 15 second to get off the floor, and a team can only do IVDC if they did NUDC/SUDC. Also I think they reccommended having 5 judges but I got a bit lost there..... Apparently the thing about having to pass a vote to allow new members to IVDA was passed but at that point we were wielding our way around a construction site, otherwise known as birmingham (It has lots of lovely round abouts!) Shell ammended her proposal to something like: If you make a final at IVDA, you should dance up the following year if you have the same partner or one of similar standard. I think this was a 50:50 split with abstentions so Tim cast in favour of leaving things alone. Sheffield won the Bid (Yippeee!!!!!!!) Then we had a nuda/suda meeting in a pub with no food! (Tradgedy) I only know about nuda, but we aggreed to: Change offbeat times to match ivda, change rotation of dances, allow practice wear/latin trousers if not addditionally adorned but not latin tops, and add a novice 1 dance event (But allow novice to dance basic, which would be the other dance of the 2) These all subject to second vote.
