I think you missed the point of the word "mid-range"....
I don't think offtime novices are really mid-range.

Also not every university has the luxury of having their coaches able to come to the comps. It's nice to have an outside opinion. Personally, I'd like to hire the serpent to come to one of our practice sessions and give his opinions!!!
