He had thought things were bad when he'd gotten roughed up that one time, or after the couple phones calls he'd received from the hostile ex-clients but had never expected this. Someone up above had been watching over him though because the parking-lot security guard had scared off his attackers before they had completely mutilated him and then had called an ambulance, but he had managed to sneak off - terrified that a trip to the hospital would result in free trip back to jail. He had already lost a good deal of blood, and had one hand applying constant, firm pressure to the open wound in his side - luckily he was pretty sure that they had missed vital organs and his main fear was just bleeding to death - when he stumbled in, calling out for her immediately...
