Well, since you asked, I feel a great deal of injustice when I think of all the rapists that go unpunished. I see them almost every day. I would like to take the guy who raped me, and slowly torture him for the rest of his life. (Actually, in the note that I wrote when I tried to kill myself, I told him to remember me everytime he raped another little girl. Unfortunately, he never got that letter.) But I wouldn't want to kill him, because then he wouldn't have to live with the guilt. I want him to live a long life, and remember me for every second.
I agree that many prisons are not punishment, and that is one thing that I think should be changed. But death is not punishment either, and unfortunately torture is considered cruel and unusual punishment and is therefore illegal.
