Chapter Three
Jax stared at Beans and smiled. They kissed once more.
?I didn?t know if you felt that way about me.? He said.
?Well, you lied to me and said you didn?t? Jax said.
? I know, forgive me?? he asked.
?Fine, if I really have to? she answered back and they kissed again. They heard a loud thud outside of the door and they knew that the gang was outside listening. Beans tiptoed over to the door and opened it. Once opened Anya, Chris, Bethan and Tally fell in causing Jax to roll her eyes.
? Sorry? Anya said, as she got out of the pile.
?It?s ok? Jax said, with a sigh and let out a shaky sigh. Beans went over to her side and sat on the hospital bed beside her.
?How are you feeling?? Tally asked.
?Like hell, how else am I supposed to feel?? Jax uttered angrily. Anya went to her side and wrapped her arms around her. Jax didn?t mind for the moment and hugged Anya back, and when Anya let go and looked at Jax eyes she saw tears in her eyes. Chris was the next to hug her. Jax closed her eyes and a tear fell down her cheek.
?Jax, don?t cry.? He said, and hugged her again. Bethan went over and Chris moved. Bethan held Jax tightly.
?I?m so happy you?re alright. I didn?t know if you were alive when I found you. You scared me so bad.? Bethan said.
?How did you find me any ways?? Jax asked.
?When I was running by the woods I saw the spirit of my mum. You can call me insane or delusional but I saw her. She was standing by the path and I followed her and she led me to your body. She was trying to help you in a way. I would have never found you if it wasn?t for her.? Bethan said, softly.
?Did she have brown hair and a soft voice?? Jax asked. Bethan nodded and her eyes widened. No one knew that at the Oaks because her mother had died before she went to the Oaks.
?How did ya know that?? Bethan asked.
?She came to me when I was unconscious. She told me that I shouldn?t be scared that I wasn?t going to get found and that you would find me. And she told me that she?s proud of you, and she said that she loves you.? Jax said, her voice quiet. Bethan smiled and her hand held the locket on her neck tight. Tally finally got over to Jax and gave her a hug.
?So does this mean that you and Beans are together?? she asked.
?Yes? they said, in unison.
?Finally? Chris said, causing Beans to elbow him. The group smiled happily at one another. Niamh came in and looked at them.
?Can I leave yet?? Jax asked.
?I talked to the doctor and he said that you have to be inspected and one more minor surgery.? Niamh said. Jax frowned, she didn?t want anymore surgeries or being poked and prodded by strange people she didn?t know. She wanted to leave, she wanted to be in Bean?s room in the safety of his arms locked in his loving embrace.
?Do I have to?? Jax asked.
?Yes Jax? her mother answered, rolling her eyes.
?How much longer do I have to stay?? Jax asked.
?3 hours tops.? Niamh then added ?It?s for your own good? when her daughter made a face.
?Ah, We?ll go back home. See you later Jax.? Chris said, he hugged Jax. The three other girls took turns hugging Jax, then left with Niamh, leaving the new couple alone.
?Should I wait for you?? he asked.
?You don?t have to, you can go. And if you hear any rumors find who started them and hurt them for me.? Jax said.
?Of course.? Her soul mate said. He leaned over and kissed her passionately on the lips. Niamh came in and cleared her throat. The two stopped and looked up.
?Sorry? he said and his girlfriend echoed the same apology.
?I know. You two are in love but don?t do that in front of the doctors.? Niamh said.
?Fine. Bye Beans.? Jax said.
?Bye? Beans said, kissing her on the forehead and then he slowly left. On his way out he took off the gauze bandage that was wrapped tightly around his hand. He flexed his hand, the knuckles had stopped bleeding and were closing up. He waited for Niamh to come out which she did a few minutes later, and she drove him back to the Oaks, then had a quick dinner then went back to the hospital.
In the Darwin House
Beans saw the new girl Diana, and a guy he didn?t know carrying their belongs into the house.
?What?s going on?? He asked, Miles who was helping carrying some boxes.
?Diana and Brice are moving in.? he stated simply. A kid he recognized from one of his classes came up to him.
?I heard what happened to Jax. I?m sorry? he said.
?Who told you?? he demanded.
?Miles, he announced it was lunch.? The kid said, wisely walking away.
Beans muttered a thank you and ran into the house after Miles.
?I can?t believe you announced what happened to Jax to everyone!? he yelled.
?They were going to find out any ways. Besides that brat finally got some thing she deserved.? Miles said. Beans lost it. He knocked the box out of his hands and slammed his fist into Miles?s face. Anya came in and tried to pull Beans away from Miles.
?Beans, what are you doing?? she demanded.
?He announced at lunch what happened to Jax. And told me that he was happy it happened to her because she deserved it.? Beans yelled angrily. Anya slapped him across the face and punched him hard in the stomach. When he fell to his knees she kicked him.
?No girl deserves that. For all we know you could have done it sense you have a grudge against Jax! I hate you Miles. I just came in here to tell you that we?re over and I NEVER want to see you in my house again. Now GET OUT!? she yelled. They heard applause from behind them and saw Chris, Diana, and Brice.
?What?s happening? And what happened to Miles?? Drew asked. Beans looked to the two boys.
?You haven?t heard?? he asked. They shook their heads.
?I?m sorry to interrupt but Beans your hand is bleeding.? Diana said, she walked over and lifted his hand. His knuckles were busted opened and there were new cuts on his hand.
?Oy? he sighed and went to get the gauze from the bathroom.
?What happened?? Staggsy asked.
?Should we tell them?? Anya asked Chris.
?Bethan and Tally know and they are only a year older than them.? Chris said.
?Plus we don?t need them to tick off Jax.? Beans said.
?Alright. You know we couldn?t find Jax last night?? Chris asked. The two boys nodded.
?Well a man took her, hit her over the head with a blunt object and beat her. And he raped her.? Anya said, softly.
?Do you know what happens when a person is raped?? Beans asked, coming back into the room.
The two boys shook their head ?No?.
?They violently force the person to have intercourse with them. You probably know what intercourse is by now.? Anya said. The two boys nodded ?Yes? then went silent. Their happy-go-lucky attitudes had been destroyed for now.
?Poor Jax? Drew whispered.
?Yeah? echoed Staggsy. Beans headed to his room and began to put blankets on his floor, knowing Jax would want to stay with him for the time being.
3 hours later
The group (not including Diana and Brice) watched as Niamh pulled up with her daughter in the front seat.
Beans went outside and lifted Jax out of the front seat. He carried her into the house and headed towards his room.
Diana watched Beans carry Jax down the hall and towards his room.
?Brice, you were supposed to kill her!? she said.
?I thought I did? He insisted.
?No matter. I will get Beans for myself.? She said, and began to devise a plan to get rid of Jax once and for all.
Now that the plan has been revealed (somewhat) will the gang find out?
Is anyone safe?
