Subject: the Journey Continues -- why I LOVE my Broncos ...

watched the end of the ZAG game on the 'other' coast and those in attendance were impressed -- but it was after Midnight and several celebratory helpings of liquid corn ... (the end of a major project)

good things I saw ... we stayed with a top 20 team (yes it does help if you know their system real well -- and that's part of what good coaching is all about)

Ethan (and the Broncos) sinking some threes (like I said I only saw *some* of the end of the game)

we can play without Doron ... we just play better?? with him

Travis (and the Broncs) got robbed on the "out-of-bounds" play ... but those things will happen ... shouldn't.. but do ... the question is how do you respond? pis**d or prodded?

Leavey looks good when FILLED ...

The M-N does a better job of covering the game than "The News & Observer" of Raleigh · Durham · Cary · Chapel Hill
(not even a "late game" notice in the aggate type of Fridays's edition -- I presume they consider any game started after 11pm ET to be of no consequence -- or is that just the AP wire)

MY BRONCOS came within two baskets of beating THEM ... and Moral Victories aside ... if you can play "the best" team in the league (and a top 20?? team) in consecutive games to close endings and they had to "re-load" to stay there you are not that far from DOING IT ...

we need to keep doing what we do well ... do it just a little bit better (hey JUST a 6% improvement in points would win it ... that's without any change in say rebounding, turn-overs, steals, ... it's just two more baskets for us ... or one less for them and one more for us ... that's it !!! ... and they needed a CAREER night from their floor leader? to Beat US ...

and like last year we ONLY need to win the LAST game against them (just 1 out of 3) to have an excellent chance to advance to the Tourney

my three wishes for the Broncos are:

find more rebounding
continue to get better at sinking the threes
minimize the opponent's open look threes

the first test of the Bronco's mental toughness index is this afternoon (2pm??) when the former bottom dwelling Pilots dock their game in Leavey ...

Let's REBOUND (in more ways than one) and SWAMP the PILOTS


ps/ personally ... great to be back off a long road swing and be able to get to the 'net ... isolated retreat centers are great for centering ... now let's see how we do in traffic
