At a sand stone crag called Linden Taeli many important birds nest and so climbing is banned. However people still bolder there at the base of the crag. People complained and that was banned too so one bolderer took them to court and his case was base on the fact that climbing is banned and bouldering is not climbing. Hopefully we will see a WPWF (World Pebble Wrestling Foundation) appear in due course to help in this. In the short term I strongly believe the LUMC should take a lead by demanding spandex NOW for use of Uni facility and motion this be on the agenda for the next exec meeting and brought in with immediate effect for any further competitions at the Uni bouldering facility. All contestants should also be encouraged to make a speech before commencing their attempts. And to win a belt as a trophy - if we don't finish these competitions like this: Why have them?
