I read the same message as you did, it made me feel guilty for not attending. Maybe we need a lecture.

You are right you don�t understand. We don�t pay enough money to cover our jerseys and our ice fee�s. Someone has to go out and find sponsors to pay for your kid�s jersey. It�s just like baseball they get sponsors to pay for your kid�s hats and tee-shirts or in this case jersey. Did you ever wonder why the jerseys have business names on them?

I can't see where anyone asked you to be a board member - she seems to have been mentioning it to the members at large in general, this is just an option. I think you missed the point completely.
The point I got was, if you didn�t go to the annual meeting and vote for the people you felt would do the best job, you got no right to be complaining. I know I won�t, because I didn�t go.
The message I read said that if the same people are on the board year after year and you don�t like what is happening, and it is obvious you don�t, then you should go and vote to get some new people in there. The same people keep voting in the same people is what I understood. Maybe there is no one else willing to do it.

I got her point! If you want your jerseys you will need to show up and ask in person, Who�s job is it to get the sponsors and why is it not done earlier in the year, or maybe you could do as she asked and help.

PS. I really like the idea of posting the meeting dates on the web. Maybe we would come if more of us knew when and where.
