Angelo dela Cruz (A Filipino truck driver) has been released one day after the Philippines removed the last of their peacekeepers. In a nationally televised address, Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo said "We must rejoice at the good news, but our happiness must be tempered by the awareness that we live in dangerous times, and that we must work to create a more peaceful world."

Now I ask you, what did she do to advance the ideals of a peaceful world? She saved one life and emboldened the terrorists to kidnap and kill again. Because it OBVIOUSLY WORKS! Good work Gloria. You saved Angelo, but put hundreds, maybe thousands of others in danger. Make no mistake, every life is valuable, but as a direct result of saving Angelo others WILL die. What she did was remove PEACEKEEPERS and provided the terrorists with a rare victory over the mult-national alliance in Iraq. Now we Americans get to here a fresh batch of crap about how easy it would to get out and save lives while Iraq gets torn apart by the insurgents they are not ready to deal with. Ths same media will give very little of the exposure it DESERVES to this story. Which is the cost, in US lives, because of this "deal."

Looks like the cowardly, short-sighted people in the world are not just in France and Spain.
