Those discussions are nice academically, but in fact it is a real judge applying the law in such a way to advance his agenda and its costing a life, and forcing this familiy to live their ordeal on the national stage. She's not dying because of any fundamental american right, she's dying because her cheating husband's lawyer found a lefty judge. In that case, I say bringing in any level of government is fair game. The problem is, good people lose when you only let one side play fast and lose with the rules - something democrats have never had a problem with - see FDR and "court packing" for a good example. However, I do notice that Tom DeLay (who is a bad example to use in any case of a Republican trying to do the right thing) and Jesse Jackson are on the same side in this. Strange Bedfellows...
