In reply to: Crimson Reaver 's message, "Knights Errant - Baptism of Fire (Thread 2)" on 17:14:07 01/18/03 Sat

The conversation was cut short as a door at the far end of the van hissed open. In the doorway, framed by a bright glow coming from the other room, stood a figure encased in a gleaming armoured suit.

Now the K-Suits used by the police were widely documented and had many column inches devoted to their ineffectiveness and lack of flexibility. The size of a forklift truck, they lost out in speed and manouverability to the Boomers they were sent to combat.

This was entirely different.

The form the suit contained was obviously female, the armour accented the wearer's curves and showed that whoever the mystery wearer was had good aesthetic taste. The armour sparkled in the light, the smooth, mirror-like surface reflecting the glow quite impressively.

Suddenly, the wearer spoke. The voice was quite obviously being scrambled, it sounded stilted and artificial, and without being able to see the speaker was female, any trace of gender origin had been removed from the voice.

"I see you've brought them with you, good work Nene. It is a shame Mr Storm didn't decide to join us. Maybe we can still persuade him."

She turned to the rest of the group.

"You want to know more? Get out of your clothes!"

Briony gave 'her' (the lines of the suit gave that impression, no matter what the voice sounded like) an incredulous look. She glanced at Foxx and Gary, then back at the suit. "You wha-? Oh."

She frowned in thought, whatever was worn under that suit she was willing to bet it wasn't street clothes. Reluctantly she took off her jacket and the divided skirt she was wearing, revealing the snug T-shirt and shorts whe was wearing beneath.
