There is probably at least two categories of tradtions we could discuss here: School-related and non-school related. Non-school related would be the events at the CCC camp and other locals, mentioned elsewhere, or cruising Broad street on Friday and Saturday night (or any other night we could get away with it.) Cruising Broad street wasn't much. Just back and forth, between "The Turnaround" near Upton's on the south end of Broad and the General Tire shop, Richfield gas station, or the garage on the north end. For variation, go all the way to the underpass and return on Willow. Or you could always go over the hill to Miami and cruise there for a while. (But we know all the action was really in downtown Globe!)

For school-related, I always enjoyed the "Roman Cones" baked by the Latin club. Basically just cake mix baked in a sugar ice cream cone and topped with frosting and other cake decorations. Any flavor of cake mix could be used. Made for a great little snack.

As I was waxing nostalgic while flipping through an old Wigwam, I did come up with a worthwhile--and legal--tradition of old: Sadie Hawkins Day and Dance, based on the old Little Abner comic strip. Do they still observe that tradition? Basically, that was the day the girls could ask the guys for dates and dances, and for the dance, everyone was supposed to dress up as hill billies.

Hope this helps a little bit....
