Hi gang--

I'm planning to be in Globe over the Easter weekend. I will probably travel to Globe on Friday (18 April) and return on Monday (21 April).

If anyone wants to get together somewhere sometime over the weekend to informally chat and chill and chow down, let me know. I'd like to meet some of you.

Hi, I attended Noftsger Hill School from 1936 to l940. My folks shopped at Rais' grocery. My father, George Agnew, had a machine shop for a short time on Broad Street across the street from Uptons ice cream place. Miss Bono was my sixth grade teacher. Marko Babich , Charlie Guerro, Tony Tellas, Charline Dora, Marie Kentera, Berniece Goodwin, Donald Chiochette, David Gustafson, Rose Ann Phillips, Betty Lee Parks, Joe Carillo, Melvin Dalen, are some of the people who were in that class.
Maurel's pool was our chief hanging out place
in the summer. Twenty five cents bought a season's ticket with swimming lessons thrown in.
I moved to California in seventh grade reluctantly and did return to Arizona but never fulfilled my dream of living in Globe again.
My aunt, May Agnew, taught at Globe High and at East Globe. If any of you go that far back and want to ,
please contact me. Edith White

This is a FYI:
There is a new GHS in town!
GHS = George's Hamburger Shop
It is located just across from the old Junior Hi School on Hill St. Of course the colors are Orange and Black and the walls are covered with pictures done by the local students. It will never be another Tiger Den but the burgers are really good and the service is fast and friendly! Check it out sometime if you are in town!
