 Vance stirred in the rubble, groggily coming back to consciousness. He gasped and stood up quickly, though, when he didn't see anyone around. "Oh, they left without me!" he moaned to himself. "I knew I was just extra baggage." He started to wander when he saw a beam of light descend into an intact house. "Ah, they must be there, they haven't left me after all." He slowly made his way over to the house, still shaky from all that had happened. He entered and saw everyone either being healed or healing the wounded. He placed his arm over his nose, trying to filter out the stench of the blood, and the smoldering of the burning town.
