 The man screamed for a moment...then appeared to melt in the magically-generated fire. The other one, with Alex's sword still planted firmly in his chest, dragged himself down th hall, screaming for help. And apparently someone--oir something--heard him, for the hallway began to rumble as something heavy made its way from a side corridor...
