Vance screwed up his face, not really knowing what a sub-machine gun was in the first place, but he remembered something that his father had taught him. When a Writer writes, the power isn't only in the book and the pen, it's in the blood of the Writer. The thoughts of the writer count even more than what is actually written, so, his father had told him, if he concentrated more on what another person was thinking, the idea of the object could be channeled through the Writer and come out ok. Vance had perfected this skill because of only being a half-blood Writer in the first place. He looked up at Jack. "Ok, I'll see what I can do, now, just concentrate on what you want, concentrate hard, or it might come out all wrong." Vance screwed up all his concentration and wrote out plainly, 'Sub-machine gun with high velocity bullets with explosive tips.' He exhaled heavily, having been holding his breath, but smiled in triumph as the asked for weapon materialized in front of Jack.
