**Blinks, the slower speed at which Alex's attack was executed allowing Tetsuo to erect a shield around himself. Crossing his arms over his chest, the boy concentrates, a sphere of blue energy surrounding him and taking on most of the damage from the fire. Still, at that power, the boy's clothes were beginning to singe, and being too interested in keeping the fire from touching him, he doesn't even see the slash coming till the gleam of silver welcomes his gaze. The tip of Alex's sword rakes across his face, creating a nice bloody line over his left eye and down his cheek, rapidly coating half of his face in blood. A small cry escapes the boy, his concentration lost for the moment as he tumbles towards the ground. Catching himself, he lands silently, one arm rising to wipe at the deep slash. His other, however, extends, and as he concentrates a thin discus of energy forms over his palm.**

Open wide...

**Tetsuo growls, fangs flashing in a sneer as he tosses the rapidly growing discus towards Alex's torso.**
