Edward nodded. "Sounds interesting. Um... I'll be back in a few minutes. I need to go check up on something." Edward grinned, and walked out the back door of the inn. He cast Raye Wing, and flew off, flying toward a plaza that was some distance from the inn, far enough that no one could hear him.
Edward pulled a small device out of his poncho, pressed the button, and let it float in mid air. The device flew away from Edward, and then stopped. Energy was released around it, and a blue sphere opened from the device. It quickly became the size of a person. A man dressed in blue robes emerged. On each shoulder, there was the insignia of an infinity symbol going through a Z. The collar of the garment he wore under the robe also featured the design on each end.
"Prince Edward... so nice to see you again. I trust everything is going according to plan?" Edward nodded, but a look of disdain was on his face. "Just call me Edward. And yes, the team is here, along with your target. However, the group has grown in size considerably since our last communication." The man nodded. "Good Edward... the travel route is the same?" Edward nodded again.
The bard then spoke up, his eyes meeting with the robed man's. "Is it really necessary? The man you want isn't your usual recruitment target, Sorcerer Rahgo." The man sighed. "Does it matter to you Edward? All you should care about is that the Guild wants him. He will be an excellent addition to the Guild, in our eternal mission to protect the Republic of Zeal."
Edward nodded. "Yes... sorry." The man said his good-byes, and took his leave, exiting through the Time Gate. "Oh, and one more thing Edward... the team coming tomorrow... they have some extra baggage. Make sure that they leave with it as well..." Edward nodded, and then the Gate shut, leaving him alone in the plaza. "Damn..."
Edward returned to the inn, flying in a roundabout way. He walked back over to Vance. "I just wanted to make sure the entire town was asleep."
