At Victors order (yeah, when the inn was still alive) Vance ran out of the inn, down the street behind another building, watching the great ape destroy half the town, including the inn. He still wasn't used to so much action and he was shaking badly. The ape tossed Black Jack, then Victor aside like nothing. Then, to top it all off, another giant ape suddenly grew out of somewhere and was trying to fight the other ape. 'What to do? What to do?' he thought frantically. He wanted to help, but he couldn't think of anything he could do that would be of any use, so he decidedly stayed where he was and out of the way.
