An Anson (L9149) crashed not far from Llyn-Yr-Fan-Fawr, close to the summit of Fan Brycheiniog in 1939, most of the wrecakge is gone but a few pieces remain amongst the rocks. There's also wreckage from a Vampire (VZ106) not far from the Anson site, quite a lot there too,at about 610 metres on Fan Hir.
