Andrew,

The CWGC provided details that two of the crew had died on the 26th, now this could have been minutes or hours after the deaths of the other 3 as this was a night excercise, but to be able to record this info, it must have been established by a doctor who attended the crash,and the fact that one of the men was the pilot and the other the rear gunner suggests that it was not a full on impact, but perhaps more of a belly strike, or wing hit first and aircraft swung around???
